Welcome to “The Otherness”! Here you will find interviews with artists, label owners, researchers and leading philosophical thinkers on the fringes of science and culture. There will also be reviews on both music and film. Beyond the mainstream, this is where we unashamedly go off reservation. Here also lives “The cultist” writing exclusively for Psilowave on subjects as far out as spirituality, phenomena and psychedelia!

“The cost of sanity in this society, is a certain level of alienation”

If you are partial to decay and pensive sadness in music then this score for a film set in Jacobean New England is for you, it certainly floats The Mayflower. It was with great delight I received the soundtrack for the psychological horror film 'The Witch' from the postman.

In 'Order, Psyche, Insanity and Chaos' (O. P. I. & C.) we were introduced to the complexities of dualism; indeed we in Klondike believe certain aspects of dualism to be paradox, one that surmounts mere semantic and linguistic concerns, a dualist dilemma. This Reviewer is a very recent newcomer to Jonathan Dennison's Cadabra Records, so it was with some hesitation that I prepared to listen to this record; however I may now advise you to turn the lights down low, as the last glowing embers of the sun set across the crumbling skylines of once great metropolises, and beneath the wormwood dales of ancient eldritch countryside. Place the stylus on your copy of 'The Yellow Sign' long player by Robert W. Chambers and prepare for the creeping horror cottoned therein. Narrated by Anthony D. P. Mann with incidental music by progressive rock and horror aficionado, Goblin keyboardist, Maurizio Guarini.

We in Klondike are independent reviewers; however we are not critics, as the critics pen is so often laced with venom. To quote William Blake: 'The sting of the honey bee is the artists jealousy.' Here in Klondike we make honey with no thought to sting; we consider ourselves Mother Nature's creations and consequently heed her words of wisdom "If one has nothing constructive to say, say nothing at all."

So it seems strange that 'want to order' should be labeled as various mental 'disorders', obsessive compulsive disorder; a fear of the trauma, and an attempt at correction, of the chaos of one childhood perhaps? Alternately the schizophrenic in his natural mental state before medication makes patterns out of data, often making simplistic links between different pieces of information such events and/or systems, He lives on the edge of Friedrich Nietzsche's [1844-1900 AD] abyss.
