Mill Of The Stone Women (1960) DVD – Sinister Cinema Released

1960, Herbert Boehme, Pierre Brice, Scilla Gabel, Wolfgang Preiss, Dany Carrel. An exhibit of strange female statues in an old windmill turns out to be a bizarre front for a mad professor and his companion mad doctor who are murdering young girls and using their blood to keep the professor’s daughter alive. The statues, needless to say, aren’t really what they appear to be. Boehme (Herbert A. E. Bohme) turns in one of the finest horror performances of the 1960s.  The climactic scene where the professor’s many mummified bodies are burned to a crisp is unforgettable and reminiscent of Mystery of the Wax Museum.  The film has the look and feel of the many color Mario Bava classics that followed.  Wow!  A nightmarish and gruesome film that you won’t soon forget.  Gorgeous color, widescreen
