Back To Black 180 gram Audiophile remastered series.

Too Much Too Soon is the second studio album by American hard rock band the New York Dolls.

The group was dissatisfied with the recording of their 1973 self-titled debut album, leading the band’s frontman David Johansen to enlist veteran producer Shadow Morton for Too Much Too Soon. Morton had become disenchanted by the music industry, but felt motivated by the band’s energy and agreed to work with them as a challenge. They recorded the album in 1974 at A&R Studios in New York City.

Judging from the title of their second album recorded in 1974, the NY Dolls understood their place in history perfectly. Punk rock had yet to break, and five cross-dressing, trash-talking rockers from the bowels of the Bowery had no place in the corporate music world, and yet the two albums by the NY Dolls are two of the most influential slabs of vinyl ever cut. Produced by George “Shadow” Morton (who during the sixties produced the legendary street tough & potty mouthed NY girl group the Shangri-La’s).
